Consulting DID and EMDR
Consulting Services
I offer specialized consulting services for clinicians dealing with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and other dissociative adaptations, as well as for EMDR practitioners aiming to achieve certification or become consultants. My approach is rooted in extensive experience and a robust understanding of complex trauma and dissociation.
DID Consultation
In my DID consultation services, I guide clinicians through the three phases of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (ISST-D) model. This includes a thorough assessment for Ritual Abuse, Mind Control, and Organized Abuse (RAMCOA). We will also address critical aspects such as countertransference issues and ruptures in the client-therapist relationship. Treating dissociation is a challenging and sensitive task that requires both knowledge and support. I bring a wealth of expertise to this area, including a published hospitalization program for those struggling with dissociative disorders, which I am eager to share with my consultees.
EMDR Consultation
For EMDR practitioners, I offer comprehensive consulting services for those trained by an EMDRIA-approved provider. Together, we will navigate the EMDR competencies, debrief cases, and refine your practice. We follow the Core Competency Model by Sperry (2010), chosen for its integrative approach that aligns well with EMDR therapy. This model outlines six core competencies essential for effective psychotherapy, each of which will be tailored to the specific requirements of EMDR therapy as defined by EMDRIA (2012).

Sperry’s Six Core Competencies of Effective Psychotherapists:
-
Conceptual Foundation - Understanding the theoretical framework, including the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) model.
-
Relationship Building and Maintenance - Developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships.
-
Intervention Planning - Crafting effective intervention strategies.
-
Intervention Implementation - Executing interventions effectively.
-
Intervention Evaluation and Termination - Assessing and concluding therapy interventions.
Culturally and Ethically Sensitive Practice - Ensuring practices are sensitive to cultural and ethical considerations.
Comprehensive EMDR Training
EMDR is an integrative psychotherapy approach that draws from various therapeutic modalities. It aims to integrate personality by merging negative information with positive resources, facilitating healing across affective, cognitive, behavioral, physiological, and spiritual domains. My consultation covers the Eight Phases of EMDR and the Three-Pronged Protocol, ensuring you are well-versed in these fundamental aspects.
By choosing my consulting services, you are investing in a partnership that prioritizes excellence, empathy, and the highest standards of therapeutic practice. Let’s work together to enhance your skills and provide the best possible care for your clients.
